I’m not joking, FRiend. First of all, not many, even in this conservative region, pack heat to shop downtown. Second, those who do carry, will do just about anything to avoid shooting a “yoot.” The law, even in these parts, gives you a lot of grief when you do that.
Now, if the yoot breaks into their house, that’s different. Then it’s shoot, stuff and mount. Proudly.

Okay, you made it more clear by distinguishing between
a home break in, and street crime. Also, the “heat” one gets from the authorities also differs. You are apparently in New York, and your laws and how they are applied are far different than here in Arizona. Here, you can go almost anywhere with a gun strapped to your waist, and nobody even notices. If I go downtown, I carry a gun, period. Stay safe.
