My issue is this.
Mister Obama has an historic opportunity to embarrass his political opponents (enemies, I suspect, from his perspective).
All he needs to do is release the b.c. and order that it be given a thorough forensic analysis by fed law enforcement, with the results published immediately. He could erase doubt by having several labs from various agencies have a go at the document.
His approvals would regain some lost ground, n'est ce pas?

A lot of independents would breath of sigh of relief and some Republicans as well. Obama could retool and gain some traction. He's getting stuck in a rut and ensuring his party's defeat in 2010.
In fact, revealing the long form right after the election would have been a deadly blow to Republicans. He would’ve been unstoppable.
