Gate-crashers to take the Fifth if subpoenaed

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House gate-crashers plan to invoke their Fifth Amendment rights and refuse to testify if they are subpoenaed to appear on Capitol Hill about the security breach.

Reality TV hopefuls Michaele and Tareq Salahi said through their lawyer on Tuesday that the House Homeland Security Committee has drawn premature conclusions about the Nov. 24 incident, when they were able to get into the state dinner without being on an approved guest list.

Why not a couple of people over (a little too many?) drinks look at each other simultaneously and ask ... "Hey ... y'know what would be REALLY neat ....... ?"

They embarrased the Secret Service by getting through their security. I am willing to bet that the Secret Service is looking very carefully at their background for something to get them on.

They know they are in deep trouble and that is why they took the Fifth Amendment today.

I can't shake the notion that this was a publicity stunt that the WH might have created.

You're right. I see some psychiatric problems with this stunt also, stemming from no BC, ACORN vote fraud, illegitimate presidency, sort of a original trespasser in a photo op with new trespassers.
