GREED! plain and simple...Greed is at the root of today's economic woes. Capitalism takes the hit for this, unfortunately, and the greedy SOBs that really cause the huge disparities in the economies of the world get away with murder.

One cannot live this decadently and not be part of the economic problems we face.

bingo. Capitalism is greed tempered by fear. If either element is missing or unbalanced, you no longer have capitalism.
