Interesting...never knew that. It's funny how one assumes too much about cultural morals when encountering alien cultures.
I went to school with a lot of Arabs, too, both in undergrad and grad school. Most of the Arabs cheated their way through. Everybody knew it was happening, including the profs. This was nigh onto 30 years ago and PC was alive and well then just as it is now. I never could prove it, but I'd bet the profs were told by the university to look the other way. Arabs who "study" abroad generally have deep pockets.....
