A new Rasmussen poll finds that the tea party movement's popularity is growing, so much so that it garners more support than the Republican party on a generic Congressional ballot. The poll hints that the burgeoning discontent among conservatives within the GOP threatens to splinter the party at a time when the popularity of President Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress are waning as we head into an election year.

I don't think we'll be "voting" for a tea party candidate. The colonists didn't "vote" for George Washington (at least not at first)- he got where he was by blowing stuff up and so forth. I'm all for reinventing government. Let's reinvent every last bit of it.

I'll vote for a conservative...no more lesser of two evils for me. If the republicans care to earn my vote they can. If they decide to run more RINOs then it is their decision to represent a different demographic than me...but they better not assume my vote.

Time for the RINO’s to come to Jesus. Repent or be voted out.

Agreed. They think they can jump in front of the teaparties and act like it's support for them...they will have to learn we are for America.

Don't annoy us further.
We have our work to do
Just think about the average. What use have they for you?
Forget about your silly whim.
It doesn't fit the plan.

It should be titled Disgruntled Conservatives make a New Home Wasn't it Reagan that said he didn't leave the democrat party, it left him? The republican party needs to decide where they're going as well...and the result will determine if they're going to survive as a significant party or not.

nd the result will determine if they're going to survive as a significant party or not. And ultimately whether we survive as a country or not, I'd go so far to say. We can't survive another 7 years of this.

Don’t think this has gone unnoticed by the RINO’s. Juan himself suddenly took his gonads out of his desk yesterday and confronted the closed room deals the Dems have been making with Big This and That. The sorry thing is it was not heartfelt as he had to stammer his way through it.
This poll kept a lot of them awake last night and their staffers were undoubtedly busy writing new talking points which I’m sure will be filtering into the news this week.
But as we know, there is only one GOP’er out there and she is already on top of all this. The RINO’s are still exasperated that they cannot get any message out but she uses her free account on Facebook to swerve around them all, pedal down, full speed ahead.

Sans a serious GOP reformation—both Leftists and conservatives need a 3rd party in order to survive.

I think she needs to start making some bolder moves.
I saw that clip of McCain today. (as a side note he looks really, really unhealthy) Kyl as well better start stepping forward and lose this lukewarm crap he's been spewing. I get SO frustrated watching these guys. Are there any great statesmen anymore?

CORRECTION
But as we know, there are only a few GOPer out there who get it and Sarah is already on top of this and other issues the GOP is afraid to confront.

In reading her book, she understands the power of controlled acceleration. I would say her “Death Panels” statement and the endorsement of Hoffman was rather bold, don’t you? She is not writing policy but simply selling a book. Even at that, she is making those who are writing policy look like a bunch of inhabitants in the primate section of the local zoo.
Beleive me, I have nothing but distain the for current GOP leadership as evidenced from my tag line. Cornyn, Kle and the rest of them have shot their wad of desrved respect a long time ago and it is our time to take the party pack and then our nation.
Sarah is essentially a Tea Partyer but she also knows the need to not splinter off. She is slowly but surely rebuilding her popularity and respect through the general public (despite a few tomatoes here and there) and knows the gig is up on big government.
