To: Indy Pendance

It hasn’t happened in my lifetime. Maybe next time will be different.

Has there ever been a failed Vice Presidential candidate with electoral votes who has ever gone on to win the office of President? A President Palin would be truly historic.

The only thing I’m certain of is that the Republican party, with the remarkable exceptions in 1980 and 1994, shows a propensity for shooting itself in the foot.

James Cox/FDR 1920. Lost to Harding/Coolidge.

A President Palin would be historic for other reasons. The start of the rollback of socialism.

Actually, I think the pubbies MISSED their collective foot and shot off their cojones, which would explain why there isn't a pair in 99.9% of the lot of them.
