Copenhagen: Earth's Latest 'Last Chance'

With 20,000 delegates, advocates and journalists jetting to Copenhagen for planet Earth's last chance, the carbon footprint of the global warming summit will be the only impressive consequence of the climate change meeting.
Its organizers had hoped it would produce binding caps on emissions, global taxation to redistribute trillions of dollars and micromanagement of everyone's choices.
China, nimble at the politics of pretending that is characteristic of climate change theater, promises only to reduce its "carbon intensity" carbon emissions per unit of production. So China's emissions will rise.
Barack Obama, understanding the histrionics required in climate change debates, promises that U.S. emissions in 2050 will be 83% below 2005 levels. If so, 2050 emissions will equal those in 1910, when there were 92 million Americans. But there will be 420 million in 2050, so Obama's promise means that per capita emissions then will be about what they were in 1875. That. Will. Not. Happen.
Disclosure of e-mails and documents from the Climate Research Unit in Britain a collaborator with the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reveals some scientists' willingness to suppress or massage data and rig the peer review process and the publication of scholarly work.

What greenhouse warming?
No Smoking Hot Spot
1. The greenhouse signature is missing. We have been looking and measuring for years, and cannot find it. Each possible cause of global warming has a different pattern of where in the planet the warming occurs first and the most. The signature of an increased greenhouse effect is a hot spot about 10km up in the atmosphere over the tropics. We have been measuring the atmosphere for decades using radiosondes: weather balloons with thermometers that radio back the temperature as the balloon ascends through the atmosphere. They show no hot spot. Whatsoever.

It’a rather interesting to me that such a subject would get so few replies. This is actually the BIGGEST thing that has taken hold since your FRAUD President was elected. What a shame. Say bye bye to everything you have ever know as “normal”. CO

A message for Copenhagen: If 98% of all the energy for the earth comes from the sun, then all we have to do is control the sun, right?
Seems like Copenhagen is full of richard craniums.
Just say'n.

If Copenhagen is earth’s last chance, does that mean they’ll leave alone after this? s/

But there will be 420 million in 2050
This is the most depressing thing I've heard in a very long time. The United States will be a third world cesspool if we allow the population to swell to 420 million. It will be pure hell with this type of population density. I hope I don't live to see this. This is madness. The Democrats have caused this problem with their immigration policies. Let's stop immigration now (both legal and illegal). This is what is driving the population explosion.

Earth’s best chance is for some enterprising bomber pilot to pay a 2000 pounder onto that summit when all the idiots are there.

I know. This is probably the biggest fraud in the history of mankind and the American taxpayer is going to be fleeced by it more than anyone else. Ultimately it will impoverish the entire world.

When will we realize the left has declared war on us and is kicking our tails???
To: Canadian Outrage
Amen. They’re eviscerating us while we are still standing trying to figure out what’s going on.
To: truthguy
Even at 420 million the U.S. would still be one of the least populated countries on the planet per sq. mile. That is compared to other countries today. Why get your panties in a wad over that when they intend to enslave and impoverish us with health care reform and cap & trade? That is happening now not forty years from now.

Again, what an absolute shame. I am praying that America will have a sudden awakening and RISE UP!! But according to our Bibles. you know the rest. Their is salvation for individuals only now. The country has been judged. Have you ever read David Wilkerson’s “America’s Last CAll”? Please get it. It is a $6.00 book and he is a PROVEN modern day prophet - amazing. Even his book The Vision from the 79 is coming to pass TODAY. According to him, the nation is lost. The sin of America;s cup has run over and they are now under Judgement. Only salvation now for individuals. The nation WILL NOT surive this. It’s horrible but at least the Christians and those they can bring into the fold will be saved - NO MATTER WHAT. CO

There is so much wrong with your comment I don't even know where to start.
So that should be a goal to increase the population so that we live in the same cramped and crowded situations that people live in all over the world? I've traveled all over the world and on of the things I like best about the United States is that we have lots of wide open spaces. I enjoy the great outdoors and I don't want to see it ruined by excessive population.
I live in California and this is a huge problem. Where are we going to get the water for 50 million? Where are we going to put all these folks? This will be the end of the American Dream of home ownership. We will be forced to live in multi unit housing the way the rest of the world lives. California was a much nicer place to live when we had 16 million vs the 37 we have today. Crowding has made us poorer. And the people who are coming do not add to the wealth, they detract from it. That's a fact.
There's another factor to consider. I've traveled to Japan extensively. In total I've spend over a year there over the past 20 years. One observation I've made is that we could never stand even a tiny amount of the density that Japan has because Japan is a homogeneous country. When nearly all of you are the same culture and race, it's much easier to live in crowded conditions. If we have even a small amount of the density Japan has it will be open warfare. Count on it. This is an issue that the politicians have completely ignored. They won't be able to ignore it for too much longer.
