Your thoughts are meritorious. In point of fact, however, resistance to this stuff can also come in some of the similar manners. It took a little tiny insurgency to bring down the Soviet Union.

The best camoflague is civilian clothing.

The most dangerous man is the unobtrusive man who has little to lose.

Societal fabric of a tyranny can be screwed up, if aided by a great number of quiet, independent, intelligent men. Those same men would quickly rally to one charismatic leader.

The system is almost quasi-functional still. I am amazed to see the failure (so far) of socialist and totalitarian bills in Congress and the Senate. I am encouraged by their failure. I am delighted to see the Official News Organs bypassed and news make it to us by a still-unfettered internet.

Things are better than most make it out to be, but tyranny is closer than it has ever been, too.

The programmed bureaucrats.... unable to change in the face of facts...at 5:30 in the interview, this man truly shows what has happened to our country...

the earlier interviews talks about Ted Kennedy.. really funny

we are now in the destabilizing phase...

After the crash and before the next election.... the crisis phase.

Things are better than most make it out to be, but tyranny is closer than it has ever been, too.

Dialogue between Sam Spade and Kasper Gutman in The Maltese Falcon:

"If you kill me, how are you going to get the bird? If I know you can't afford to kill me till you have it, how are you going to scare me into giving it to you?"

Gutman cocked his head to the left and considered these questions. His eyes twinkled between puckered lids. Presently he gave his genial answer: "Well, sir, there are other means of persuasion besides killing and threatening to kill."

"Sure," Spade agreed, "but they're not much good unless the threat of death is behind them to hold the victim down. See what I mean? If you try anything I don't like I won't stand for it. I'll make it a matter of your having to call it off or kill me, knowing you can't afford to kill me."

"I see what you mean." Gutman chuckled. "That is an attitude, sir, that calls for the most delicate judgment on both sides, because, as you know, sir, men are likely to forget in the heat of action where their best interest lies, and let their emotions carry them away."

Spade too was all smiling blandness. "Then the trick, from my side," he said, "is to make my play strong enough that it ties you up, but yet not make you mad enough to bump me off against your better judgment."

Gutman said fondly: "By Gad, sir, you are a character!"

“Things are better than most make it out to be, but tyranny is closer than it has ever been, too.”

I believe the second part of this cancels-out the first part.

Great post.

Great, inspiring post that I needed to keep it perspective.

When serious, you are a smart little bugger. Glad you are on our side. (:

Without secure communications (almost impossible in this tech era) and clandestine organization, the only thing such efforts would amount to is a few individuals or small groups being a made an example.

Forget all this talk about armed revolution. Unless, the regular military stood up and told DC to stop, it would be useless against the countless para-military units of the alphabet agencies, not to mention their incredible technical abilities.

The road back is through STATE NULLIFICATION. That is where the power is for the People. If just a few States banded together and told DC enough!...then we would have a chance. Thankfully, some States are already looking into it, and I'm not talking about secession. Let's discuss and debate this possibility, not the hopeless cause of armed marches on DC. It would be a bloodbath.
