I remember coming across a very-telling article (in the Boston Globe I believe) published in August 2008 that discussed the RNC Platform. If I find it again, I'll post it here ... It was interesting to note that of the four or five MAJOR planks of the RNC Platform regarding Amnesty, Abortion, Global Warming, a Balanced Budget, etc. — MOST of which we would readily identify as Conservative — were CONTRARY to McCain's record and the McCain campaign "platform." That's why I say the problem is NOT the RNC Platform voted upon by Republican delegates at the Convention, rather the Candidates that RNC Leadership tends to publicly and financially support through the Primary process because they erroneously believe that "the middle ground" wins races and is good for the Party and the Nation.
