Moore's just attempting to use one of Alinsky's rules for radicals:
4. "Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
He's no Biblical scholar and probably knows next to nothing about what Jesus said overall, but this is his clumsy attempt to hold conservatives to what he perceives to be Christian standards. Of course, the left can always do this since the have no standards or morals which they can be held to.
