Why is AirTran Lying About,Attacking Its Customers?:The Answers, Documents AirTran Won’t Provide
Debbie Schlussel ^ | 12-6-09 | Debbie Schlussel

Why is AirTran lying about its passengers? And why would you believe the company that refuses to answer important questions or release documents to back up their claims?

The airline may face a lawsuit, which will finally uncover the proof that a dry run was conducted by 11 Muslim men, and it tried to force passengers to fly with them, anyway.

As readers know, on Thursday, I posted an e-mail written by Tedd J. Petruna, a NASA employee who was on AirTran Flight 297 from Atlanta to Houston on November 17th of this year.

He recounted in the e-mail–which he never intended to go public all around the internet–how 11 Middle Eastern men, likely Muslims, conducted what appeared to be a dry run. He wrote the e-mail to dispute the lie AirTran told the press that the flight was canceled because a man refused to stop talking on his cell phone. AirTran, by the way, has never released the name of that man.

And now, the long knives of AirTran public relations have come out. AirTran told the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation, er . . . Journal-Constitution that Petruna was not on the flight (well, at least in this case, there’s no constipation, as the paper is full of crap). And instantly, everyone believes AirTran, without seeing the official passenger manifest or any documentation whatsoever. Everyone, except me and most of my readers (not the trolls who are now commenting).

That wasn’t an FTA quote. That was Debbie Schussel saying that. OK, so that is a “2nd-hand” report.

SO far as I can tell, Tedd has not send a letter directly to any newspaper which has reported the story, and he has not spoken on any talk show, nor has he produced a boarding pass.

So, so far as I know, Tedd has in fact not said ANYTHING, and someone is using his name. I know that is “far-fetched”, I’m just saying there is no direct evidence that Tedd has actually said what is being attributed to him.

And there is a lot of evidence to suggest otherwise, or at least to suggest his story isn’t accurate.

For examples: He says he was in first class, but there was no first class. He said he and a Texan phyiscally handled a passenger — but no passenger has complained about being physically handled, and you’d think if the muslims who were thrown off were looking to make an issue, that would be a perfect issue. Nobody has identified the Texan he says helped him.

He said they were watching porn in the back of the plane. Nobody has confirmed that, and how would he, sitting in the front of the plane, know what was on a 2-inch screen in the back of the plane if nobody else was yelling “it’s porn”?

I put a higher possibility of accuracy on the Chaplain’s story, just because he has published his story directly, although it’s possible that someone else published it under his name. His story has some resemblance to Tedd’s story, but differs on some key points. Of course, the Chaplain wasn’t on the plane, but he notes there were 13 muslims, of which only 11 were allowed back on — Tedd said ALL the muslims were allowed back on, but the Chaplain’s account matches the official story that the two who caused the problem (cell phone use) were NOT allowed back on.

But wouldn’t Tedd, who physically handled the one guy with the cell phone, have noticed that the guy he grabbed was NOT allowed back on? And if so, why did he say they ALL came back on — wouldn’t he have noticed that the guy didn’t sit back down next to him in business class?

Lastly, Tedd said the flight was cancelled. But it wasn’t cancelled, and the newspaper confirmed that the flight continued on — as does the Chaplain.

So it is clear Tedd’s story has some factual mistakes; I have not heard directly from Tedd, and Tedd is just a private citizen.

So while this is all speculation, it seems more reasonable that the airline wouldn’t directly lie about something that would be easily verified by Tedd, if he had a boarding pass and if some other passenger had seen him physically handle another passenger.

IF you were on a plane, don’t you think you’d notice if two white guys grabbed some noisy muslim guy and phyiscally restrained him? But no other passenger account says anything about it.

And BTW, if Tedd really wrote a long report for the airline, what happened to that report? I would have thought it would have been handed to the TSA guys Debbie says Tedd says was there.

But I would also expect Tedd would have put out copies of “the plenty of records of his being on the flight” — why doesn’t Debbie have any images of these records?

I do agree with the statement purportedly made by Tedd that “he never thought Airtran would lie and claim he wasn’t on the flight”. I still feel they wouldn’t.

But if they are, this is an easy thing. He puts out his records showing he was on the flight, and then they can’t show that his connecting flight was late.

But do you really think no newspaper checked the flight records and confirmed that his connecting flight was or wasn’t late? That’s a public record — and that’s how the paper verified that the flight that Tedd said was cancelled actually flew.

Obviously and transparently some sort of dry run, and AirTran not only sh*t the bed, they blamed their customers for it.

Pretty low.

No, strike that. Lower than snail sh*t left by a submarine invertebrate clinging to the underside of a log in a hole at the bottom of the Marianas Trench.

So FTA quotes are first hand reports? LOLOL

Here’s a canned email response I just got from my question sent to Mr. Hackemack, the man that originally reported his friend, Tedd Petruna’s experience on flight #297:
-——Original Message-——

Hi, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR CONCERNS.

In my very first email sent out, I made it absolutely clear that I was not on the airplane, and that I was forwarding this from a very trusted friend. What people do with these forwards is beyond my control.

I am not looking for, nor expected the notoriety that I received. I was just trying to warn a few friends of mine who fly frequently. I had absolutely no idea that this email would travel so far and wide, but now I am glad that it did. I put my own safety on the line by including my personal information, but it was the only way to give this message credibility.

My emails inquiries are now running into the thousands each day, which is actually a very good sign, but it also now prevents me from answering each one personally. The REAL PRAISE should be directed to Mr. Petruna who stood up to the trouble makers and almost got fired from his job for doing so. Also to Chaplain Robinson for his outspokenness and support of the incident. His appearance on Fox News adds the validity that this event it deserves.

My intent was simply to get the word out – and nothing else.

You can go to www.google.com now and type in either Chaplain Dr. Keith Robinson or Petruna or Hackemack (or all three) and find the information that you might be searching for when you sent me this email. There are several articles out there trying to discredit us – please remember, Mr. Petruna HAS HIS FLIGHT SCHEDULE to prove he was aboard the flight.

Thank you again for your email and rest assured that these events that you are checking validity to – did indeed occur. – Gene

This is complete BS. Even Petruna now admits he was not there and made up parts about Muslims. Get current.

Please provide your sources. Thanks.

No, it’s just that your post labelled the quote “FTA”, so I was saying that it wasn’t an FTA quote. I also said it was 2nd-hand, but those were two separate thoughts that I didn’t distinguish adequately. I apologize.

Oh, and what I meant was this. If the FTA said “Tedd gave us a report”, that would be a 1st-hand account from the FTA that Tedd gave them a report.

But in fact, it was Debbie saying that Tedd gave the FTA a report. So that is a “2nd-hand” account from Debbie saying that Tedd said he gave the report to the FTA.

I hope now it is clear that Debbie saying Tedd gave something to the FTA is further removed than the FTA saying they received a report from Tedd.

The quote was FTA and presented as a one-on-one interview with Debbie Schlussel. That is as first hand as any statement made by AirTran.

Uhhh, FTA means "from the article." Sorry to use such an arcane acronym.

(that is used every day on FR. {FR = Free Republic})

OH!!!!.

Sorry. In the context, I thought you meant “Federal Transporation Authority”, which is the organization he might have submitted a report to.

As to “first-hand”, if I heard an interview where Tedd told Debbie something, that would be first hand. Reading Debbie SAYING Tedd said something is 2nd-hand, or hearsay evidence.

By the same token everything in the Air Tran blog is 2nd hand too.

I have heard of the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) but I have never heard of the FTA (Federal Transporation Authority).

According to the Hagmann update:

In its DOT complaint, CAIR wrote:

“It is incumbent on any airline to ensure that members of the traveling public are not singled out or mistreated based on their perceived race, religion or national origin. We believe this disturbing incident would never have occurred had the Muslim passengers removed from the plane not been perceived by other travelers and airline personnel as members of the Islamic faith.”

I think the next time a passenger complains of this type of subtle attack, they should be clear to state that the reason they are concerned is that the troublemaker is too reminiscent of Timothy McVeigh. And then, WASPs will have reason to complain! PC is killing us.

Weird Story.

Ping me again if there is anything new.

I was in DE when 787 was shot down. Everyone was sure they saw a bright light go up before the plane came down in two pieces.

For some reason our government has a problem telling us the truth. Come on guys, we are big boys, we can handle it.

I don’t think there is such a thing. I saw “FTA” and my brain tried to make a name that fit the acronym that would make sense in context, so I ended up with Fed Trans Authority.

There is the TSA (transportation security authority), but that’s not the same thing obviously.
