My chair bound friend has never walked and can only stand after several surgeries. Her father left her mother at this girl's birth some twenty years ago.
Nevertheless, she's a happy person and counts herself blessed as neither she nor her mother are angry or bitter over what has taken place in their lives.
Rather they've come to understand that the healings Jesus performed while on earth are just a taste of what he would do as King in God's Kingdom.
So this young lady is happy and has a hope for the future. I feel blessed just knowing her and her mother since my challenges in life cannot begin to equal theirs.
And what is more, neither she nor her mother feel embarrassed or needing of sympathy for her problems.
Maybe the insensitive one is you. Insensitive toward your own attitude and feelings about your daughter's problems.
Is Jesus proud of me you ask. I ask that enough I need no one else to do so. But I am able to ask.
