I'm beginning to feel sorry for Andrew "Andy" Revkin, Senior Climate Alarmist at The New York Times. He does not emerge well from his chummy e-mails with the Settled Science enforcers ("You took the words right out of my mouth"), and evidently he resents the notion that he was merely a willing dupe:

Remind me again why these climate elitists are regarded as intelligent?
Not only did they fail to predict the current storm swirling around them, but this dolt also falsely believes that the same ivory pressure front tactics which brought on their troubles will somehow now solve them.
And did I miss another "consensus" memo demonstrating that "most climate scientists" are more worried about a silly human interest side story than they are about their own careers - some of which are already melting due to the political heat.
Perhaps the clouds gathering over their upcoming self-importance convention don't factor into the models as significantly as does the notion that climate wives will now be as suspicious about the extra-curricular activities as I am regarding the official proceedings.
And perhaps the next email hack will reveal that the threat of "the Big Cutoff from those of us who believe we can no longer trust you" originated NOT from the CRU this time, but rather from the CWRU (Climate Wives Revenge Unit).
Just another theory waiting to be disproved.
And this my friend, as you astutely pointed out, shall be their downfall.
