Makes no difference when they blew the whistle. Clock stoppage is reviewable, and on review, the clock still said 1 second when the ball hit the ground. Blowing the whistle late was an error, and the replay corrected the error.

On the other hand, there normally is a delay between when clock should stop and when it actually does. Usually earlier in a game, nobody complains when a second or two is lost.

Right, that’s why it’s funny how we know exactly when the last play should have stopped, but no idea if the clock STARTED at the right time on the play, nor can they really review that. Or when it stopped on the previous play.

OF course, Nebraska probably wouldn’t have needed help at the end if they had just not kicked the ball out of bounds on the kickoff.
