Technically that makes him a person from a minority community.(Sikhs make up 2% of the Indian population) Sikhs are however so ingrained into the public consciousness in India that almost no one thinks of them as being different. They make up 15 to 20% of the Indian army and along with the Gurkhas and the Rajputs have a formidable reputation as fierce warriors.
