I can personally attest to the incredible benefits
of Vit D3.
Same here. I was very ill 2 years ago with all sorts of autoimmune disorders. Things started to turn around for me 2 weeks after an endocrinologist put me on Vitamin D.
BTTT
Thanks for the ping. I’m seeing nice results from taking vit. supplements. I’ve added the B Vit family, and it helps too - I could feel it when I stopped it (tastes yukky going down). But worth it.
A friends’ hubby was diagnosed with Lewy Body disease (mental disorder) and one of the factoids from his tests was he was horribly depleted of Vit B12, and that alone can cause dementia, she was told. Important for seniors to take it.
My husband, my daughter, and I all see different doctors, who all recommended D3 for different reasons for each of us. I have not noticed “incredible” benefits, but I do think it helps compensate for SAD, and is needed because most of us do not get enough sunshine. Side note: My daughter read a book called: “Survival of the Sickest” which said that sunshine turns cholesterol into vitamin D. The brain, the immune system, and many of the body’s other systems need D.
Thanks for the Ping. Very interesting info in the article and other Freeper posts as well! I take Caltrate D which is a combo of Calcium and D3 - so I guess I’m good to go.
Free Republic is a great info source for all kinds of things.
Can you share some of the benefits you have experienced?
I’m a strong believer in Vit.’s D and B and take them daily.
B is essential to ward off dementia, so I added it, much to my chagrin. I hate the way it smells/tastes, but take it anyway.
My aches and pains are much greater during times I fail to take them.
Vit’s B/D and Chondroitin with MSM - can’t live without them.
