Another non-statin that I take is Zetia.....no side effects that I’ve noticed after 4 years. Took lipitor and zocor for number of years with debilitating side effects. I also take the Co-enzyme Q-10. And the zetia works better for me than the statin did.......some people take both zetia and a statin as the zetia works in a different way..from what I understand the zetia works good for people whose bodies are prone to producing cholestrol (inherited tendancies) versus those who build up the cholestrol mainly from eating high cholestrol fooods.......
I have to make an appointment with my doctor next week and will add Zetia and coq10 to my list of questions. I definitely will ask about Welchor also. He makes me come in every 6 months or won’t refill my prescriptions. I like that in a doctor, He keeps tract of whats going on with me. This last time he only prescribed for 30 days so I have to go see him....Since I pay for my own prescriptions he will give me a 3 month supple at a time but will only refill it once. (He’s young and cute so I don’t care) I am old not dead, always appreciate a great smile...
