You list all the external causes of failure, the things you and the GOP can't control. Focusing on what you can't control will not bring you victory.

What the GOP CAN control is what it stands for. The GOP must recapture a vision of our country as strong, independent, and free. It must stand for conservative values of national sovereignty, limited government, economic freedom, and moral goodness. These are things the GOP CAN and MUST control.

Reagan showed how you can stand for traditional conservative values and win the hearts and minds of the American people. The GOP unfortunately has decided to try to win by compromising its conservative values and become more leftist in order to win elections, putting its own existence ahead of traditional American values. Thus the complaint that as it does this, it loses its raison d'etre, selling America short for the illusion of political expediency.

Reagan's 1960's "A Time For Choosing" is as poignant and relevant today as it ever was.

As a Reagan - Palin Conservative Republican I also know, there are more liberals than there were decades back.
Every year kids grad from high school, you have at least 80 or more % registered Democrats. Univesities are grinding out Liberal Democrats and Marxists.

A large % of Americans who own a TV and who don’t inform themselves and that is a large number, believe the sound bytes and buy into the liberal propaganda.

Other demographics have brought more Democrats.
If Reagan ran for Gov. in Calif. toady, he wouldn’t win.

Living here in a large city, you see more how the ave.
voter thinks, especially Univ. grads, other professional
people, retired, etc.

You have to find ways to inform or give a clue to those
who are liberal in ways not to steam roll and turn off

It takes work living in the real world.
