This isn't ringing a bell with me -- I guess I missed the story you're referring to. Could you fill me in?

Do you remember when, about March or April of 2009, there suddenly were stories (they’re ALL stories from the Global Warmers, that’s all they have) about how there suddenly was going to be a 10 or 15 year pause in the warming?

At first glance it would appear that those stories were generated by the very cold winters we’ve been having.

Here is my theory; I connected the ARGO (Google ARGO)data ‘release’ of 5 years+ data. Not a public release, mind you, as far as I know only a few insiders have seen it, but obviously a release to someone or some group. That announcement was made a month or so prior to the panic announcement of the warming pause.

I say that what that ARGO data shows is a steep decline in ocean temperatures in recent years. Circumstantial evidence of such is the fact that there have been few hurricanes, and less powerful. Hurricanes need the energy from the ocean, and lower ocean temps mean less energy, which means fewer tropical storms and hurricanes.

I say the GW crowd not only saw the cold handwritting on the wall, they saw the data to support it, and decided to rush out in front of it with their “it’s going to stop warming for a decade, maybe even get cooler, and then Global Warming will be back, and THEN it will get REALLY bad” story.

I’m not a scientist and I may be off in conspiracy field on this, so if anyone can add or subtract from the above outline of my beliefs, please do.

Thanks! I’m on my way out shopping; have to think more about this later. As far as being “too far out,” well, as a rule of thumb, when it comes to the Left, there’s nothing you can just rule out! ;-)
