This sounds like it is potentially more serious than the Foley “scandal” which didn’t involve any real sex nor were there any job offered, if I recall correctly. Yet that was turned into some huge scandal where every other Republican for whatever reason got tarred, as absurd as that was. It certainly helped the Dems win the House. With Baucus however I suspect he and his party will suffer no consequences.
Well if they did blackmail him the cat is out of the bag. I wonder if the Montana GOP can find a good candidate to take out this dud next time he is up for reelection?
