AuntB, you are right. But what she said is a much larger step in the right direction than what we have heard before.
She respects McCain for several reasons which are understandable. He served his country and suffered for it...and at the time he did so honorably. As mother of a son who is on the sword's edge, she has respect for that. She also respects him because he showed faith in her by selecting her as his VP choice...which means she would have been a heart beat away from the Presidency if they had won.
I think it is clear that they have pretty strong diffferences on a number of topics...which is why I support Sarah. She is not McCain on issues...but she still respects those things about him.

Couldn't you or I summarize our immigration policy thoughts in 3 sentences, probably right off the top of our heads, leaving absolutely no question on our position? Why can't she do the same???
