I read a post over at Quoth the Raven this morning from Celebrimbor that got me thinking. In it, he mentioned a Wall Street Journal piece by Daniel Henninger titled "Hasan, Not KSM, Is Our Real Problem." The quote that caught my eye when pointed out by Celebrimbor was this one:
For now this is the way it is: Future Hasans can get jacked up all day on kill-the-Americans Web sites, and we have to wait until they put in motion a conspiracy like Fort Dix or the Colorado jihadists. Or until they start shooting.Over the past few posts I've been trying to show you how YouTube is aiding and abetting this process. For the homegrown terrorists to get their fix, the material has to exist. YouTube is a U.S. based company who's free services are regularly used by terrorists to share videos and to make sure the English speaking world has access to their propaganda. And it's easy to get. Just pop over to youtube.com and search "Hamas," "Hezbollah," "Al Qaida," Al Qaeda" or any number of keywords and you'll find literally pages upon pages of videos. Here's an example of how easy it would be to get "jacked up" on this stuff. Let's start at YouTube...
Ping.
I would like to be added to your ping list. Thanks.
Got it! :-)
A problem is that there are literally millions of videos on YouTube, so that even if there was someone to monitor videos before they went on, there would be no way to screen all of them.
Keep sending me the lists. I flag them as soon as I find them.
Youtube is complicit in the deaths of Americans.
You can be sure that Youtube would pull anything that criticized their favorite death cult cleverly disguised as a religion.
Thanks StarCMC.
Yikes — that’s a live one! Thanks!
Didn’t Pastor Manning get banned from YouTube?
How does a guy like that get banned but these godless beheading a-holes get to keep posting their material?
Makes you wonder who they know in high places, doesn’t it?
They screen based on user flagging of inappropriate content. They banned an outspoken critic of homosexuality, Pastor Manning, but they won't ban the terrorists. Unreal.
It was kicked off of wordpress and now it is on another blog site.
I believe as you do that these sites are all helpful to encourage idiots to kill.
They will ban some videos. I think they way to do it is for users to complain, enough of them. And to get the poster of the videos banned, not the videos themselves.
Do you know what site it’s on now?
If you google the name of it, it comes up.
It was on wordpress and they shut it down.
Thanks for any interest you have....
It’s on ning.com
Somehow your reply got lost in my pings — I’m sorry — so I’m just now seeing this.
Here’s the whois for ning.com — have you tried contacting them?

So I heard back from Highwinds today - the company that's providing services to terrorists that I mentioned here. To refresh your memory, Highwinds is the ip address that some of the videos NOT hosted at YouTube resolved to when I clicked a video at almoltaqa.ps.
I sent them a courtesy email on November 24th that said:
Dear sirs:I am not sure if you realize it or not, but the terrorists of Hamas are using your service to embed videos on their site. Here's a link to one such instance:
http://www dot almoltaqa dot ps/english/showthread.php?s=42cd5ca4f9b65a35b15fc26bba7e5650&t=3384&page=10
There are 4 Hamas videos embedded on this page that download from your service. Providing services to terrorists, even free ones, are against Executive Orders. Please remove this content from your servers. Thank you!
It was several days before they got my email because of an email address mixup -- I sent to the address on their whois information rather than abuse@highwinds.com. So they agreed to conduct an investigation, and this was the response I received today:
Hello. We have investigated this issue and we have not found anything to be illegal here. If you feel otherwise, please reply with more detailed information and we will be happy to investigate further.Regards, Brad
Yep, I emailed back, as follows:
Wow. These are terrorist videos posted on terrorist forums and they are using your site to do it. Here's the reason it's illegal -- Exective order 13224 found here: http://www.fas.org/irp/offdocs/eo/eo-13224.htmThe pertinent portion is this:
I hereby order:
Section 1. Except to the extent required by section 203(b) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)), or provided in regulations, orders, directives, or licenses that may be issued pursuant to this order, and notwithstanding any contract entered into or any license or permit granted prior to the effective date of this order, all property and interests in property of the following persons that are in the United States or that hereafter come within the United States, or that hereafter come within the possession or control of United States persons are blocked:
(a) foreign persons listed in the Annex to this order;
(b) foreign persons determined by the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury and the Attorney General, to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, acts of terrorism that threaten the security of U.S. nationals or the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States;
(c) persons determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, to be owned or controlled by, or to act for or on behalf of those persons listed in the Annex to this order or those persons determined to be subject to subsection 1(b), 1(c), or 1(d)(i) of this order;
(d) except as provided in section 5 of this order and after such consultation, if any, with foreign authorities as the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury and the Attorney General, deems appropriate in the exercise of his discretion, persons determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General; (i) to assist in, sponsor, or provide financial, material, or technological support for, or financial or other services to or in support of, such acts of terrorism or those persons listed in the Annex to this order or determined to be subject to this order; or
(ii) to be otherwise associated with those persons listed in the Annex to this order or those persons determined to be subject to subsection 1(b), 1(c), or 1(d)(i) of this order.
Your company is providing technological support for terrorists. I hope this helps with your investigation. Please keep me posted!
Thank you!
The ball's in their court. I'll keep you posted.
H/T to Howie for these links -- Hamas (the terrorists using Highwinds.com's services) are OFFICIALLY terrorists and recognized as such internationally.

Since it is clear now that some sites are ignoring this, I am wondering if a lawsuit may now be in order. I always hate calling in lawyers, but this is a very serious matter and we have a compelling case.
The lawsuit is an idea that’s been offered here: http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/199703.php
I’m unsure of the status, but you can contact Rusty at the link on that story.
