I have many friends, intelligent ones, whom you could not convince in a decade that global warming is a fraud. I’m sad to say that I’ve lost friendships over this issue.

If you have history, don't have to be all that bright. If you don't, all the intelligence in the world can't help you. If you lived off the land, you paid attention to the weather. If your family had a native American as a member of it, you learned the oral history of this country. I could have showed all your intelligent friends my letters (frail as they are) and had them explain it to me. It's tough to get through facts, they ARE stubborn.
