Obama science advisers grilled over hacked e-mails (It's ON!)

WASHINGTON – House Republicans pointed to controversial e-mails leaked from climate scientists and said it was evidence of corruption. Top administration scientists looking at the same thing found no such sign, saying it doesn't change the fact that the world is warming.

The e-mails from a British university's climate center were obtained by computer hackers and posted online about two weeks ago. Climate change skeptics contend the messages reveal that researchers manipulated and suppressed data and stifled dissent, and conservative bloggers are dubbing it "Climategate."

In the first Capitol Hill airing of the issue, House Republicans Wednesday read excerpts from at least eight of the e-mails, saying they showed the world needs to re-examine experts' claims that the science on warming is settled. One e-mail from 2003 was by John Holdren, then of Harvard University and now the president's science adviser.

The exploding controversy led Phil Jones to step aside as head of the climate research unit at the University of East Anglia, the source of the e-mail exchanges. The university is investigating the matter. Penn State University also is looking into e-mails by its own researcher, Michael Mann. House Republicans asked for a separate hearing or investigation into the issue, but were rebuffed by Democrats.

"These e-mails show a pattern of suppression, manipulation and secrecy that was inspired by ideology, condescension and profit," said U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis.

Are they saying water vapor is a pollutant? There is a difference between smoke and water vapor!

Another example of fake, but true...ala below:

“Dan Rather continues to stand by the story, and in subsequent interviews has articulated that he believes that the documents have never conclusively been proven to be forgeries — and that even if the documents are false, that the underlying story is true.”

Thank you for posting this!

I believe all Americans concerned with the Global Warming Fraud should do our part to “warm” America. Burn up the phone lines/email to our elected officials and demand Congressional inquiries into this scandal.

Also stop Cap and Trade since it is based upon “manipulated” science. (Or should I say, MANNipulated science?)

[[Congress ought to look into the fraudulent use of taxpayer grants to these enviro-cultists. ]]

Absolutely! Not only that, but we need to look into administration officials and congresspeople who KNEW this was a fraud, yet who did everythign in their power to ignore the evidence agaisnt man’s involvement in climate change, AND to keep perptratign htis fraud on citizens- Hopefully Inhofe is goign to get touhg on this issue, and call for prosecution of anyone involved i nthis fraud, even if that means hte president, the speaker of the house, or majority and minority leaders

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Americans say it’s at least somewhat likely that some scientists have falsified research data to support their own theories and beliefs about global warming. Thirty-five percent (35%) say it’s Very Likely.

Just 26% say it’s not very or not at all likely that some scientists falsified data.

[[But thanks to Al Gore’s invention the story kept spreading until they practically had no choice.]]

They had a choice- since we the people were the ones who were goign to have to pay for htis- our ELECTED officials should have, by all rights, DEMANDED that there be no doubt whatsoever that man was responsible, but they KNEW the science was VERY controversial, and yet they ALL kept insisting hte ‘science was settled’ They had testimony from scientist after scientist callign into question the claim that man was responsible, and they had testimony after testimony that scientists were PRESSURED into makign claims that they did NOT beleive in, yet they chose to ignore it, suppress the coutnerevidence, and kept right on scamming us with full knowledge that that is what they were doing- defrauding America in the biggest scientific scandal EVER

Could anyone explain to me why the “media” uses pictures of nuclear facilities cooling towers emitting Water Vapor(steam) when they are doing stories on Air Pollution?

Perhaps because water vapor is the leading substance by far contributing to the greenhouse effect? (of course we all know that the MSM is too stupid to even be aware of this)

Sensenbrenner said the 2006 National Academy study showed Mann's hockey stick was incorrect and that Mann's theory was discredited. But Holdren said the NAS study had quibbles with Mann's methods but agreed with his results.

From a 2004 MIT study about the hockey stick:

Now comes the real shocker. This improper normalization procedure tends to emphasize any data that do have the hockey stick shape, and to suppress all data that do not. To demonstrate this effect, McIntyre and McKitrick created some meaningless test data that had, on average, no trends. This method of generating random data is called Monte Carlo analysis, after the famous casino, and it is widely used in statistical analysis to test procedures. When McIntyre and McKitrick fed these random data into the Mann procedure, out popped a hockey stick shape!

From a law dictionary:
conspiracy n. when people work together by agreement to commit an illegal act. A conspiracy may exist when the parties use legal means to accomplish an illegal result, or to use illegal means to achieve something that in itself is lawful. To prove a conspiracy those involved must have agreed to the plan before all the actions have been taken, or it is just a series of independent illegal acts. A conspiracy can be criminal for planning and carrying out illegal activities, or give rise to a civil lawsuit for damages by someone injured by the conspiracy. Thus, a scheme by a group of salesmen to sell used automobiles as new, could be prosecuted as a crime of fraud and conspiracy, and also allow a purchaser of an auto to sue for damages for the fraud and conspiracy.
So we have two angles here. The criminal one is the conspiracy to avoid the FOI law. The civil one is the conspiracy to falsify the basis to implement higher taxes and costs for the people in the name of AGW. Maybe a class action after Cap & Tax gets passed?

Republican Congressmen need to get real scientists to ask questions for them, and do the cross examinations of the 0 Organization’s scientists. Climategate needs to be more than an exposure of the global warming scam. It needs to become an exposure of corrupt science and corrupt scientists, and it needs to come with civil and criminal consequences for frauds that have hurt businesses, individuals and communities.

Or words to those effect, used during the “high tech lynching” of Justice Clarence Thomas.

This is conspiracy on a grand scale! The trick now is to make it snowball against them. Embarrass the alphabet networks with a deluge of email. They have to learn that there are people watching and we won’t tolerate a lack of action.
Fox Network, if they play this right, could control both Cable and Network ratings. This should be covered ad nauseum by local network affiliates.

Anyone have the lame stream media contact information at hand??

From Dr. Tim Ball’s article on how AGW came about:
http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/2704

...Previously we touched on the political climate engendered by environmentalism and its exploitation by those who want a new world order and believe this is achieved by shutting down the industrialized nations. Chief among these is Maurice Strong who said in 1990 “What if a small group of these world leaders were to conclude the principal risk to the earth comes from the actions of the rich countries?...In order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring this about?” He told Maclean’s magazine in 1976 that he was “a socialist in ideology, a capitalist in methodology.” Presumably this explains the duplicity in making a great deal of money as an industrialist. He also warned that, “...if we don’t heed his environmentalist warnings, the Earth will collapse into chaos.” Unfortunately, the world listened and the chaos is being caused by policies that evolved from his actions.
