Whether the precise center is the Earth or the sun (considering the solar system as a part of Earth) is not completely determinable, but by Gods word, the Earth is the center, and the cosmos was expanded from that center.
This is completely supported by astronomic observation. The equal distribution of the visible bodies in all directions has been noted by all of the major astronomers.

I’ve been an amateur astronomer (hobbyist) for almost 40 years and never, ever heard such a thing.
