Penn State Altoona's chapter of Kappa Delta Pi will present Dr. William Ayers, Thursday, December 10, 2009 in the TV Lounge of the Slep Student Center. Ayers will deliver "Democracy and Public Schools" from 4 - 5:30 p.m.
Ayers is a progressive education theorist who works with education reform, curriculum, and instruction. He is a professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois - Chicago, holding the titles of distinguished professor of education and senior university scholar. Ayers has written extensively about social justice, democracy and education, the cultural contexts of schooling, and teaching as an essentially intellectual, ethical, and political enterprise. He has authored numerous publications including "To Teach: The Journey of a Teacher" (Teachers College Press, 1993), which was named book of the year by Kappa Delta Pi and won the Written Award for Distinguished Work in Biography and Autobiography.
The event is free and open to the public, and is first-come, first-seated.
I cannot say what I am thinking....
suffice it to say my disgust with this POS has no bounds and the way I wish to express that here would have it removed by a moderator.......
Someone needs to ask him if he has visited the White House since Obama took office. That could catch the administration in a lie.

Ayers’ own playbook would suggeste we set a nail bomb right under the podium.

Come and get your poison.
I’m calling that media services link. What are they thinking? I’m not a Penn State grad but many of my friends and co-workers are. This is very damaging to Penn State’s reputation. I don’t want my state tax dollars going to an institution that allows terrorists to speak on campus.
Hey, this is the same joint that employs Michael Mann.
I’ve emailed dozens of co-workers/friends that are Penn State alumni on the Michael Mann situation. I hope that Penn State values it’s good name more than the obvious research dollars that have flowed in to Mann’s efforts and conducts a THOROUGH investigation.

But isn't interesting that they're not honest about who the guy is.
Ayers is an unrepentant terrorist who now works at destroying the country from within the system.
Note to Kappa Delta Pi: Y'all left that last bit out, didn't you...
From 2008...
Now that his tool is in power and wrecking this country, maybe it’s time us conservatives take some moves from his playbook, and give him a real ‘Pennsylvania’ welcome that he won’t soon forget.
“progressive education theorist” That pretty much explains what is wrong with education today. The 3 R’s taught by high school graduates and later by college graduates won WW II and put us on the moon. Now that BS and piled higher and deeper has taken over, education is on a downhill slide.
If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it is the only theory needed. Unfortunately Ayer’s and his ilk have been polishing fecal material far too long.
This is so disappointing. My son is a recent PSU grad - class of ‘09. The school is going to hear from us.
