Ouch: If Elin Bolts, Tiger Gives Up $300 Mil . Prominent Celebrity Divorce Attorney Says Don't Count On Couple Staying Together Because Of Woods' Temptations . Report: If They Split, Prenuptial Agreement Is Largest In Celeb History

###

These days, more than half of all marriages in the U.S. end in divorce, and while Tiger Woods apologized for his transgressions some are wondering whether he'll beat the odds and save his relationship.

Many people CBS 2 HD spoke to Wednesday seemed to think the world's most recognized athlete and wife Elin Nordegren would be better served staying together, even though she stands to live comfortably for 30 lifetimes if they divorce.

"I think she should stay. Because I mean he's come out and he's apologized," said Kara Jensen-MacKinnon.

*snip*

Divorce attorney Raoul Felder has handled huge celebrity cases from then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani to Mike Tyson, and said he wouldn't count on Woods' marriage to survive.

"There's a separate level of hell when you're a celebrity. You're subject to extraordinary temptation that ordinary people are not subject to," Felder said. "I don't think the prognosis is too great for something like this unless she's willing to make some kind of deal and live with it."

US Weekly has reported the couple has a prenuptial agreement worth $300 million, which would make this the most expensive celebrity divorce in history. Right now, Michael Jordan holds that record when his wife, Juanita, received an estimated $150 million settlement.

The temptations of Tiger .. Sad, and the world was his oyster. I don't think it'll ever be the same for him.

Care about what? What are you talking about and why are you asking me?

RE: “Good. GO PHIL!”

I agree! With so many good guys on the tour, we need to concentrate on others in his shadow, and the up and comers —

Unlike many, I’ve purposely stayed away from tourneys around So. Cal. when I knew ‘he’ was playing. I was following the tour well before the arrival of Woods and the PGA will do just fine without him front and center all the time. Unfortunately, the media will fawn, all will be forgiven, his fans will be more obnoxious than ever, and Woods will extend this foolishness a few more years. Blah.

How about the temptations of Obama? Wonder if it’s true that he’s had sexual encounters with other men while married to Michelle? You think Tiger is a big story...if Obama’s alleged gayness becomes known throughout the world, that will be a huge story. Tiger is peanuts compared to Obama’s alleged affairs with men.

I dunno .. after the 1st honey’s press conference
happens tomorrow with her attorney, Gloria Allred,
on top of the other 2 out there ..and who knows
who else is out there .. I don’t know if things’ll
be looking so peachy.

Even the golfer who introduced them, whose kids
were taken care of by Elin, is slamming Tiger
and apologizing for hooking them up.

I just remember all his Dad poured into him to
raise him so well for so many years to be a
skilled and respectable professional. He’s
weeping in his grave.

What he did to himself, his wife and kids in
his arrogance and disrespect for his family
is horrible ... sickening.

Wouldn’t he rather win by superior skill?

Can't say I have much sympathy for him.

Hey, he marries a woman other men would probably give their left nut to have, then he cheats on her anyway. Whatsamatter, Tiger boy? Did Elin get a stretch mark or three from having your babies?

Yeah, professional athletes have their groupies. But he was the one who couldn't keep his pants zipped up. He also had a prenup (am I understanding this correctly?).

I'm not saying that she ought to be able to "take him to the cleaners," and I'm not saying that there might not have been some other factors we don't know about yet, just that no one forced him to bed these other women.

Now maybe the golf media will focus on someone other than Tiger. Phil would be a good choice!

Tiger's a crybaby. Miss a fairway? Beat the driver on the ground. Miss a putt? Gnash teeth and utter an obscenity.

Phil's a class act as are many others on the tour. Some of the best golf I watched this year was when Tiger missed the cut at the British Open (even if Watson did choke) and when Tiger was defeated by YE Yang at the PGA Championship. I’m a fan of the game, not some skirt-chasing Bill Clinton wanna-be.

Pssst, Tiger. If she stays, hide the knives and sleep on your stomach.

Phil wins all the time. And does so while dealing with family set-backs that are not directly attributable to a poisonous character.

His wife is battling cancer, he put his career on hold for her and she probably told him to go play his best game, and now he's back making a comeback and enjoying himself!

I’m just saying, I think he would rather win because of what happens on the course, not off.
