Furthermore, there is absolutely no way you can package up a government healthcare package and call it something other than socialism. Government forced healthcare in any guise is socialism. Well, unless you’d rather call it fascism. Big government forcing an unwanted product on an unwilling citizen at the threat of fine or jail is just plain criminal! And it IS anti-American, anti-freedom, anti-liberty and unconstitutional as hell!

Romney is a socialist BASTARD!!

And you can tell him Jim Thompson and I said so!!

The Heritage Foundation is full of bullcrap if they said otherwise.

While many of them were goaded, even baited into it, virtually all the purged freepers said something that led to their ban. They would get tired of being attacked all the time, and lash out personally at someone, and then they’d get zapped.

But it was still within their power to control their own fate. It was like one of those bad movies where all the prisoners are standing, and the guards are trying to bait them into throwing a punch so the guards can kill them, and one guy keeps saying “don’t take the bait”, but one by one the others can’t take it anymore, launch a punch, and end up dead.

It was all very “Lord of the Flies” though, how other freepers danced on their graves.

I was litigating against the ACLU in an abortion case when Romney was running in Mass. I was paying attention to what he said. I was surprised by it, and I didn’t like it.

But it wasn’t “pro-abortion” or “abortionist.” It’s a fine distinction, but I think a valid one.

As I said in another post, we Mormons don’t believe in smoking. But most of us take the libertarian view when it comes to laws against other people smoking. Because I believe the unborn child deserves some protection, I don’t take the libertarian view on abortion.

If you look at what Romney was doing at the time — counseling women in his congregation that abortion was wrong, and not to do it — what he was doing politically (and expediently) was saying, “Keep the government out of it.”

Whether that translates to (1) “I don’t think unborn life should have legal protection at all stages” or (2) “I know this is a fight I can’t possibly win because states don’t have any power, and I’m not going to take on this battle,” I can’t really say. Either way, I didn’t like it.

My point is, you can make a valid argument against his position without overstating it or demonizing him.

You seemed like such a nice man when I saw you at the Anti-Clinton rally on the mall. A fond memory. I wish we could be as united against the “common enemy,” Obama, as we were against the “common enemy,” Clinton.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand that reference. I assume it means you don’t want to discuss it, which, of course, is your right.

Pro-life conservatives do not pledge to protect and preserve a woman’s right to choose (to murder her innocent unborn child). Pro-life conservatives do not say abortion should be legal and safe. Pro-life conservatives do not say that Roe v Wade is settled law and should be defended. Pro-life conservatives do not say that underage girls should receive abortions and if her parents do not approve, she should seek a judge’s permission... and a pro-life conservative would not defend abortion as a constitutional right EVER!!

And a pro-Life and Liberty conservative would never push a government healthcare program on a free citizenry. EVER!!

The man is a FREAKING ABORTIONIST/SOCIALIST!!

And I AM a nice guy... until people start pissing down my back and try to tell me it’s raining.
