"They de-mineralized a fossil in a weak EDTA solution and discovered soft-tissue structures AFTER the rock was dissolved."

I have tried to look for demineralization of a fossil but to no avail, could you please direct me to your source?

It was in the actual publication by the actual researchers in Science Magazine...subscription required....and while I can view it at work, I can’t on my iPod. The links at the bottom of the ICR article has the links.

Keywords are “ demineralize” “removal of mineral phase”

From recollection of the full text showing their methods, they dissolved the fossil...or fragments thereof...in a 0.5M EDTA solution for 7 days to remove the Inorganic mineral content.....leaving soft and pliable soft-tissue structures. The process of using EDTA to demineralize biominerals has been around for 30 years or so.
