European Union Treaty to Make EU More Powerful
VOA News ^ | December 1, 2009 | Lisa Bryant

The European Union's Lisbon Treaty has come into force with the aim of streamlining EU decision-making. The first EU president also took office along with the bloc's new foreign policy chief.

The European Union welcomed the Lisbon Treaty with a ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal where the text was first signed. Getting all 27 EU states to ratify it however, was a long and arduous process that was only completed last month.

The new treaty lays out a series of fundamental changes within the European Union, including creating the bloc's first permanent president. That job has gone to former Belgian prime minister Herman Van Rompuy. Britain's former EU trade commissioner, Catherine Ashton, is the new EU foreign policy chief. Both are relatively little known figures in Europe and overseas.

European Union = Revived Roman Empire

Adolf Hitler must be salivating from his grave, because he always wanted a European Union.

The people of Europe were drawn into this by a sellout of their governments. It is illegal to even criticize the EU and it is impossible to withdrawal. This 1:37 video by the new President of Europe talks about how the G20 is a pillar of world government and how the Copenhagen Summit is to produce another. There is no free republic of America. Mike Rivera comes out and says there is no democracy and there is no republic. We and the planet are controlled by a financial oligarchy. The flu pandemic, the carbon tax, and the economic collapse were to usher in the OWG just as Mike Rivera said in an interview today on Alex Jones= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3NJVr-M1rg The other three segments are in the video responses underneath the screen.

The EU is a powerful but dying behemoth.

Uh-uh, the European Union will not die yet because the Antichrist would arise and the Revived Roman Empire, (one of the 10 super nations prophesied in the Book of Daniel) will come under his rule.

ROFL. The US wouldn't even attack North Korea with its 8 or so nuclear weapons. EU member states have 500.

Also it it strage how the US always looks to China for help and cooperation when the only bloc that shares - almost all of - its values is the EU, sometimes even moreso. Many mainstream newspapers in Europe had reprinted the Mohammed caricatures in a show of solidarity, with the US MSM being silent on the issue.

At the moment you are correct. However, at some point our leaders will gain a dose of testicular fortitude or on the other side of the coin, they will run out of estrogen.

The EU is what Hitler wanted to do to Europe in the 1930’s.

Which brings us back to point 2: Why threaten someone who agrees with you 95% of the time? Especially when he has enough nukes to blow the East Coast to kingdom come.

So I guess you're referring to Iran / North Korea with that testicular fortitude thing. But still, an affluent people like the US is seldom hungry for war. Iran is doable, but North Korea has a 1,200,000 man army, 5,000,000 including reserves. Few Americans want a $1,000 monthly war tax plus the return of the draft.

You got me wolfie; I took your bait. Your ilk got us into WWII and you will do it again if you can. Europe is potentially far more dangerous than any of the others although we may have to whip some others first. It is not a matter of threatening anyone. It is a matter of strength and will.
