I'm not "posturing," mk. I am being honest, and I am being who I am. My behavior on a political forum is just as visible to God as my behavior in church.

In the past, when you have been IN church, tell me: have you ever suddenly jumped up in the congregation, thrown your arms in the hair, and shouted "HALLELUJAH, for GEORGE W. BUSH!!", and started speaking in a Texas twang and drawl? "Oh Saint GEORGE, I LUVS YA!!!"

So using that same standard, why would you persist in beating the drum and blowing the trumpet about your religious beliefs in a political forum, in which the topic has nothing to do with ANY religion? Let's look at it another way:

When I head to my bathroom to take a big hairy dump, God knows about that too, but I leave it in the bowl, flush twice, and I am not compelled to exit the head and proceed to yap about it. Take the hint lady.

If you choose to, let's have a political discussion some time, with all the insults left out. I love discussing politics, and I love defending my conservatism AND my respect for George W. Bush (which are completely compatible).

I've seen your 'political discussions' many times, you habitually start the sneers at those who disagree with you (and that's fine, Finley Peter Dunne said "politics ain't beanbag") but when responded to in kind, you immediately play the victim card, call your adversaries 'trolls', and periodically threaten to drag in the mods. Any comment which is not delicately phrased and candy coated for your intellectual digestion ends up being considered an 'insult' by your always-changing 'rules', however you will always feel free to insult other Freepers. Any discussion on FR is WYSIWYG, your choice is to dish it out IF you can handle what gets dished out to you, or don't participate. Simple as that. If you have to demand certain 'rules' and 'conditions' and special considerations for the rest of us to discuss anything with you, quite frankly you're on the wrong forum.

I'll gladly do it any day with honest participants, and have done so, even on this thread.

Hey, get a clue: EVERYONE is an 'honest participant' because EVERYONE has their own unique view and perspective, you may not like what they have to say but they are most certainly honest about their opinions and unless they are a most obvious troll (and you need to refresh your understanding of what a 'troll' really is), they have every right to respond to what you may post and to dissect and take apart any one of your assertions in any way or style they wish. If you don't like that, it's your problem.

In as much as it is up to me, you and I will live in peace. No conjured images. Just an honest attempt to make things right.

I reiterate: you have no monopoly on what is 'honest'. You can post as you see fit, as can anyone else. If someone 'conjures an image' that you might not like, that is their right and you have to deal with it.

(Oh......and rabscuttle keeps posting volumes to me in response to posts I have not written. I have no obligation to respond to such nonsense. Anyone who pings a support group to get a gang around him.....afraid to go it alone?.....does not deserve a response)

Oh for cryin' out loud, drop this nonsense about 'support groups', do you consider yourself part of a 'support group' when (for example) STARWISE pings you to some Bush rah-rah post you have not written? Of course not (and I am pinging STARWISE because it is simple FR courtesy to do so when mentioning another poster).

Rabscuttle is one of the finest FReepers on this forum, he stands for the Constitution, he stands for every principle that this Republic was founded upon. He is to the liberals, liars and their RINO-enablers what salt is to a slug on the sidewalk. As for your sneering about 'meaningless waste', I contend that you are intellectually incapable of debating him, you do not have the requisite conservative firepower to engage him on the issues. That is why you have refused to address the facts he raised way back in his post # 192.

You say you're a conservative? Study what Rabs stands for, he is as conservative as they come and I daresay that Ronald Reagan himself would endorse him and what he has to say.

The day one of you makes a post to me without calling in your little support group will be the day that I take any one of you seriously as a legitimate political participant. Until then, I will consider your groupthink as a weakness.

(Actually, mk, though I don't spend that much time on FR, the day I see you criticize Obama with the same vitriol that I see you bash Bush and eviscerate those who support him, will be the day I take YOU seriously. Never see you on an anti-Obama thread).

What STARWISE does is ping us to posts that are of interest to Bush supporters. What you do is ping a group of people to help you try to humiliate anyone who doesn't hate Bush as much as you do.

No interest in continuing this. And no interest in defending the fact that there is no part of my life outside Christ........... especially my politics. There is no anonymity in faith.

I should clarify, STARWISE pings me to all sorts of threads that patriotic conservatives would be interested in.

Posts about our troops, about Obama, about various current events, and a few about Bush.

I have never once been pinged by STARWISE to a post written to a Bush basher to help belittle someone else. It's not the way we work.

None of us pings a support group as you do. Our purpose is the discussion about political issues with like-minded conservatives. NOT ganging up on and beating up as a group those who disagree with us, as you and your pals do routinely.

BIG difference.
