None of what you said, even if it WERE all valid, negates my point.

I will repeat......President Bush was conservative in many areas and did many conservative things.

That is an undeniable fact which your protestations cannot remove from the world of reality.

Expanding the size of Government in areas that are not explicitly authorized by the Constitution is NOT conservative. At least Reagan tried to slow the growth of Government; in contrast, Bush reveled in expanding the Government, enlarging the Department of Education through No Child Left Behind, creating a whole new bureaucratic monster in the Department of Homeland Security, and handing out taxpayer dollars--present and future dollars, mind you--left and right around the world.

The ends do not justify the means.

If they did, then abortion--even partial-birth abortion--would in some cases be justified if it resulted in a life-saving treatment for another individual.
