FOX news is showing close ups of some of the Marines who fell asleep during the speech...so many were nodding off. Understandable, but I wonder if they can get any kind of reprimand for it?
The military can do (and does) whatever they want. However, the liklihood is that no formal action will be taken against them for sleeping during the speech. It's an off-duty activity, so the time is, essentially, their own.
At most, some NCO might yell at them for sleeping during the speech, but their command knows these folks are under a lot of stress and put in long hard days. I would honestly be surprised if any disciplinary action were taken.
