On the day of his major Afghanistan speech, President Obama had lunch with a group of top political writers at the White House, according to a source familiar with the lunch.
There were some attendees today who write extensively on foreign policy, such as Joe Klein (Time), Fareed Zakaria (Newsweek/ CNN), and Tom Friedman (NY Times).

It appears as though he has no original thought in his mind.
The Top Political Writers are all doing it for free on the internet. These guys are simply more third-rate people very much like the appointees Obama appoints.
He was giving them marching orders
Lunching with the new speech writing czars.
Isn’t that called a brainstorming session??
Good Lord! With all those spinners in the room, the menu must have been cotton candy!
Am I to assume more lies to come?
Lunching with the three idiots.
Like who reads them, anyway, hey??? Legends in their own minds, a bunch of narcissistic weirdos.
Naaah.
More like brainWASHING session.
Fareed Zakaria huh?
An Islamic terrorist supporter if I ever saw one, and a big America hater to boot. He and 0bozo are like 2 peas in a pod.
Yup.
0bozo doesn't seem to realize that all these publications that back him are dying from collapsing circulation, disappearing revenues and profits, in part because they are so blatantly partisan and shill for 0bozo 24/7.
Few normal Americans know are care who Fareed Zakaria is.
More hollow words from an empty suit.
He doesn’t need to give these guys a lunch in order to get favorable articles out of them.
All the people mentioned as attending are legends in their own minds. That must have been one boring lunch. I’m hopeful the public might begin to realize that the Washington crowd is self-important, is not America, and really doesn’t know what it’s talking about.
Man, those writers’ knees must’ve been awfully sore when they left.
