The president, whose job-approval ratings have been on a steady slide...

Oh no.... I think this is the same feeling I experienced with they canceled the Howdy Doody show...ohhhhh noooooo.
Typical, when enough lights are turned on, the rats run for cover, cowards all.

To shut down even the 'liberal' press is not a good sign. Even with the broad brushes and excuses they've provided (and I'm sick of the no good SOB too) he is still avoiding the traditional Q & A. If you can't see any implications in that, well...don't know what to tell you. He doesn't want to be accountable to anyone

“President Obama has of late avoided questions from the White House press corps at large”
Please inform me of the times bammy actually allowed uncanned Q&A with the press? Every time I have ever seen him, he is reading answers to canned questions from a teleprompter. The few times I have ever watched stray from a script he becomes a blithering idiot. At some point, one these press weenies will start telling the truth concerning the pres—ents lack of basic communication and logic skills.
To: Outlaw Woman
He doesn't want to be accountable to anyoneWhat are you talking about? Even when he was being "accountable", he never actually said anything. Just the vacuous teleprompter bullspit of an empty suit male model with Marxist leanings.
.I think the only thing this signifies is that the Press has turned, slightly, and he's curling up inside. I would say it is the opposite of "ominous". . I think it's lovely.
To: Outlaw Woman
Perhaps the right way to minimize the overexposure issue isn't by scheduling a major speech during prime time, in a slot usually reserved for A Charlie Brown Christmas. What garbage. But who needs press conferences? His people will still tell the press what to print and they will.

We still have elections to hold him accountable.
If he thinks he’s going to suspend elections, well, we still have guns. And, I heard, billions of rounds of ammo.

That’s exactly the point. He’s even dissing the ‘friendly’ reporters. It just shows, imo, that, in his mind, there is no longer a need for them. The pretense is up. Or as the dims are fond of saying lately: the debate is over...

I couldn't believe it when Barry even turned up in the NFL/United Way promo last weekend, with that ridiculous slow motion pass reception. That was a jump the shark moment.

It’s partly about what the Obama administration wants reported in the news, but it’s also about feeding that gigantic ego of his and nothing does that better than a press conference.
To: Outlaw Woman
Who knew that Obama was exposing himself to the press! Maybe this explains the thrill up Chrissy’s leg, and “conservative” Andrew Sullivan’s and David Frum’s sudden infatuation with a Marxist?!!
I wonder if he’s been teabagging reporters as well... Maybe this is the inside joke we have been missing that makes Obama and reporters giggle like school girls about teabaggers? You never know.
