Get a grip people and don’t blame anyone but the shooter for taking down these servants of the people.

In my opinion, the original sentence was way too heavy to begin with, so I can agree with Huck, based on the info provided, if true. However, he and his staff did not do their due diligence in determining what this obvious monster had become. Furthermore, AFTER the clemency the perp committed 8 MORE NEW felonies BEFORE “gunning down the police officers in a coffee shop.” Why are we letting those judges who let him go then off the hook?

Yes, Huck is a RINO and has never been anything more than a Split-The-Vote candidate that we could see through from the the get-go, but he isn’t the only person that had a hand in letting the killer roam around freely. Aren’t we all about personal responsibility? Put the blame on the shooter is all I’m saying. To put so much blame on Huck is to let the perp off ever so slightly, imo.

Flame away.

Would ya quit talking sense?

Clemmons was a young punk that got convicted of robbery, theft of property and possessing a handgun on school property when he was 17 or so...served 11 years in prison, got his sentence commuted by Huckabee, then VIOLATED his parole, went back in for another couple of years, so that's around 14 years inside...but here's a money quote from the Seattle Times...

"He was returned to prison on a parole violation. But in what appears to have been a mistake, Clemmons was not actually served with the arrest warrants until leaving prison three years later. As a result, Clemmons' attorney argued that the charges should be dismissed because too much time had passed. Prosecutors dropped the charges."

You can give Huck some trouble for the commutation, but a lot of people dropped the ball here starting with the guys that approved Clemmons clemency application and forwarded it to the Governor...oh, and I wouldn't vote for Huckabee in a billion years regardless...magritte

Yes we are - tell that to the Huckster. He's pointed his finger, so far, at everyone and everything else! He's in defense mode, not repent mode.

Nobody questions putting blame on the shooter - we all agree to the point that there’s no point in talking about it further. He did it, he got his reward, case closed.

The judges who let him out time and again? We don’t know who they are, and have no influence over them.

The hype over Huckabee stems from his desire to be our leader - OUR leader. Of all the people sharing any responsibility in this incident, he’s the only one who can affect most of us now. Ergo the hysteria: “THIS guy let THAT guy out? and THIS guy wants to lead US? Uh ... NO.”
