My mother walked down to her booksigning in Richland last Sunday.

This was her report:

Yesterday we walked down toward Hastings book store to observe the action.

Good thing we didn’t drive down and try to find a parking space. We walked down to observe the action, and ACTION there was. There were thousands of people in line - it went for blocks, heading west up Torbett, past McDonalds and around the corner and south down Jadwin from there. (My note: This approaches half a mile) We just went to observe so found the experience very entertaining. Whater your politics, Sarah is very personable and has a lot of endurance.

One side comment: The crowd was very organized and caused no problems even after time ran out after three hours, as opposed to a concert at the TRAC where people who couldn’t get in caused a riot (probably over-sold tickets). After the three hours of signing, Sarah went outside and worked the line where people still waited for the chance to get inside.
