Is this correct Bigs?

Pohaku-loa "Long Stone" A traditional account...tells us that Pohakuloa was named for a deity who was a guardian of Ka-wai-kapu-a-Kane (The sacred water of Kane) at Waiau. Also a land area, gulch and water source.

Well the the translation is correct but the reality of the upper slopes between the volcanoes is high desert and as bare as a ....something or other.

Thinking the Hawaiians used a lot of poetic license with their place names way back when.
