It would appear that the Climategate scandal, the hacked emails from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in the U.K. revealing that scientists distorted climate change data, is not going to cool off anytime soon.
Climate change skeptics are fired up about the "accidental" deletion of temperature data by head of the CRU Phil Jones and the bogus data aggregation procedure used by scientists that "renders the [temperature readings] totally meaningless," but what gets some people's goats the most is the fact that the University of East Anglia is still denying that there was any wrong doing.
The Washington Times: We read and reread these CRU documents in stunned amazement. But rather than investigating all the evidence of so much academic fraud and intellectual wrongdoing, the University of East Anglia is denying there is a problem. Professor Trevor Davies, the school's pro vice chancellor for research, issued a defensive statement on Tuesday claiming: "The publication of a selection of the emails and data stolen from the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) has led to some questioning of the climate science research published by CRU and others. There is nothing in the stolen material which indicates that peer-reviewed publications by CRU, and others, on the nature of global warming and related climate change are not of the highest-quality of scientific investigation and interpretation."...

“accidential” deletion like the Nixon tapes were accidentaly deleted?
How do they feel now that they are in the same league as Richard Nixon?
I guess this would show zero degrees from 1962 to 1993 and then just about when they want to show global warming in 1993, they start recording temperature data, thereby proving global warming.
What a spectacular fraud!

1. Just have the weather stations send the data that they sent before and you should have a reasonably complete data set.
2. Someone has the original data set. You just don’t erase the core of your business. Carbonite.com might be a good place to start.
Why am I getting the feeling that “We the People” have no control over our future. Economic principles are dying, Science is dying, and “collective wisdom” is gone.
Well isn’t that inconvenient ?

But we have not received this money until now and the program of collecting during this summer will be reduced. Some days ago I received an information that the INTAS-RFBR project was rejected. The competition was very high.”
13 Oct 96 Fred Pearce writes a long article to biffa detailing the fact that arctic proxy data will be sought.
9 Dec 96 Rashit tells briffa “Some periods are notable for missing rings: 988-964 BC, 882 BC, 143 AD, 623-646 AD (especially 640 AD), 814-816-818 AD, 1453 AD and beginning of 1800th AD.”
A couple of years later.........
Nov 18 1998 Briffa says to evag and stepan “I am told that the money transfer ( 5000 u.s. dollars) should have gone to the bank account you stated. Please let me know if this is received by you. I am also sending Stepan’s 5000 dollars to Switzerland now to be carried back by his colleague.”
21 Dec 1998 An unusual direct email from Shiyatov to Briffa “Thank you for the money transfer via Fritz Schweingruber. I received 5000 USD. Is it necessary to give you a receipt for this sum of money? Money will be used for organization of field works in the Yamal Peninsula and Polar Urals next year. Of course, this sum is not enough. I hope we shall have an additional money from the INTAS project and the Russian Funds.”
