The Swiss decision to ban the building of new minarets in Switzerland is sending shockwaves throughout the Muslim world.

Muslims and human rights groups have expressed outrage at the decision, depicting it as an attack on Islam and a setback for religious freedom.

More than 57% of Swiss voters approved the proposal Sunday in a nationwide referendum backed by Switzerland's right-wing Swiss People's Party (SVP), widely associated with anti-immigration campaigns.

Ohhh I feel a United Nations condemnation coming on..

THE Barbarians can chop off heads, kidnap Christian women, bomb Jews, and forbid and terrorize Christianity without a word being said..

Fear is a powerful silencer they play that game well..

Way to go to the swiss!!

Mere zoning ordinances, what’s the problem - there was a vote.

Where is the law that says that the most intolerant should be shown tolerance? That thought is suicidal. When was anyone allowed to build a church in Saudi Arabia? Carrying a bible in personal luggage is not allowed in most Muslim countries.

These Muslim countries that demand religious tolerance deny the state of Israel and pray for the destruction of Israel.

The immigration and then exploding population of Muslim people is an act of aggression, of war and ultimately an invasion of the host country. These intolerant hoards are planted to destabilize the host country. Check out the UK, Germany, France and see how well they are doing with the Muslim immigrants.

I guarantee this: If the aforementioned countries could deport every Muslim they would do it in a minute. Muslims are as welcome as a bucket full of AIDS.

William Tell: Froggie, if you want to late the terrorists build mosques with minarets, have at it—in Froggie-land, not in Switerland.

Saudi Arabia allows no Christianity. Neither does Iran. Egypt has so limited theconstruction of churches that less than five have been built in 50 years. Christians are attacked everywhere in Indonesia. Chburches are destroyed in Northern Nigeria. Need I go on?

as usual I expect some liberal jurist to overturn the ban...a good countermove would be new zoning specs stating that all minarets must not exceed 3 ft. in length. And contain a cross.

Korans are already allowed in Switzerland. Hence, Bibles should be allowed in Islamic countries.

As for their stinking minarets, I want a church of equal size built in a Muslim country for every one of them, and for each mosque, too. Then we can talk.

The hypocrisy of these creeps is absolutely amazing. Human rights, indeed. They cut the privates off of their women. And girls.

All the predictions I read about this referendum to ban the construction of minarets said that it would fail. Maybe the Swiss are beginning to wake up.

Let’s be charitable: let them build minarets. But let’s pass a few requirements:

1. No loudspeakers. No automated devices. All calls to prayer must be manual (can’t we find a sura that rules out automation).

2. All minarets must be at least 2,000’ high.

3. No elevators.

Heck - I’ll bet the Prophet would approve!

Hmm...I wonder if automated calls to prayer are allowed by the FATwas.

I do not want to hear one word from the Muslims until they lift all restrictions against churches in their countries. I will also point out that this is a restriction only against minarets, not mosques.

Muslims and human rights groups have expressed outrage at the decision, depicting it as an attack on Islam and a setback for religious freedom.

So is the islamic world ready to apply this same standard to all of the muslim controlled nations in the world? Are they ready to admit that banning the construction of churches not to mention the persecution and obstruction of the free exercise of religion is an attack on every one of those other religions as well as a set back to religious freedom? Figured not, muslims are like liberals in that regard...hypocrites.
