Police surround Seattle home where person of interest in police shooting may be hiding A SWAT team and police negotiators surrounded a Leschi home in Seattle where the man sought for questioning in the Lakewood police shooting may be hiding. By Seattle Times staff A SWAT team and police negotiators surrounded a Leschi home in Seattle where the man sought for questioning in the Lakewood police shooting may be hiding. Police responded to the home at East Yesler Way and 32nd Avenue South where police stopped a woman who was leaving the home. She told them Maurice Clemmons was on the property and bleeding, according to a law enforcement source. The woman told police that someone had dropped Clemmons off at the home. The source also said police had received tips about two other properties they needed to search, in Queen Anne and Renton. At 8:44 p.m., Seattle police received information that the person of interest may be in a Leschi home, according to Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel. Police are now trying to confirm the identity of the person inside. Police blocked off the street at East Yesler and 30th Avenue South. Police are telling residents to stay indoors and keep their doors locked.

Well, my 3:14 pool time has come and gone. Best time’s sort of an “it depends” thing. They can see better in daylight, but so can he. On the other hand, if he’s really holed up in a trailer, night vision won’t help them much.

Yeah, they do. Those grenade launchers make some noise too. The sequence is just weird for flash-bangs to be followed by gas. It’s usually the other way around since gassing your own people is considered poor form. Yet, you’d think the newspaper reporter who says there’s been an entry actually knows that. There could be multiple locations and they’ve entered one I suppose. Scanner-wise, at any rate, there’s no indication of an entry yet.

Wierd. You’re right.

“...A trailer where the suspect in the shooting deaths of four Lakewood police officers was thought to be hiding was empty when police entered it early this morning.

Seattle police entered trailer in Seattle’s Leschi neighborhood where Maurice Clemmons was thought to be hiding...”

Well, they were getting info on the layout of both the house and the trailer, so... If that’s not it, then what they have is essentially a perimeter that they hope he’s inside and they’ll do an area search. If we hear a dog request, that’s what’s going on.

Sincere thanks for the information. I hate inaccurate report or reports that aren’t detailed. Fox also mentioned that shots had been fired earlier on, but neglected to mention which side fired the shots!

Perhaps Clemmons has done us a favor and killed himself. Time will tell and thankfully, the police have all the time they need.

Police: Suspect in Police Deaths Hurt,Maybe Dead

SEATTLE – A suspect in the slaying of four police officers gunned down in a suburban coffee shop was holed up at a Seattle house early Monday, wounded and possibly dead, police said.

Negotiators were trying to communicate with Maurice Clemmons, 37, using loudspeakers and explosions to try to prod him from hiding. At one point, gunshots rang through the neighborhood, which is some 30 miles from the original crime scene.

Could not sleep for other reasons.

First morning King news reporting that they think he is bled out.

The SWAT team has popped some kinda gas grenade things into where he is held up and told him to surrender but nothing is stirring inside so the are reporting he may be dead, guess they wont be able to check further untill daylight.

The news showed clips of Clemmens back here a few months ago when a house he had burned down due to some kids/strangers playing with fireworks.

Then he went up on the child rape charges made bail and his family claimed he was not in his right mind claiming he was God/Messiah and talking other jibber common to those having pyschotic episodes.

Who’s the judge that let this guy out on bail? Must show up in some court record. That judge needs to find a new job. Unfit for the bench. Can he/she be voted out?
