Police surround Seattle home where person of interest in police shooting may be hiding A SWAT team and police negotiators surrounded a Leschi home in Seattle where the man sought for questioning in the Lakewood police shooting may be hiding. By Seattle Times staff A SWAT team and police negotiators surrounded a Leschi home in Seattle where the man sought for questioning in the Lakewood police shooting may be hiding. Police responded to the home at East Yesler Way and 32nd Avenue South where police stopped a woman who was leaving the home. She told them Maurice Clemmons was on the property and bleeding, according to a law enforcement source. The woman told police that someone had dropped Clemmons off at the home. The source also said police had received tips about two other properties they needed to search, in Queen Anne and Renton. At 8:44 p.m., Seattle police received information that the person of interest may be in a Leschi home, according to Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel. Police are now trying to confirm the identity of the person inside. Police blocked off the street at East Yesler and 30th Avenue South. Police are telling residents to stay indoors and keep their doors locked.

A newly discovered child? Am I just completely overtired?

I hate to laugh, but I couldn’t help it. Sounds like a woman came a knockin’ with a baby. Yikes.

Piece County Judge Thomas J. Felnagle is the immediate guy responsible, since he reversed the previous judge’s ruling of NO BAIL to $150,000.

we haven't had a Pub governor for probably 30 yrs.....our state legislature has been dim dominated off and on but mostly on for the same number of years...

we keep electing and re-electing idiots who get us into 5 no 6 no 8 billion dollar deficits and its business as usual.....

and of course the Seattle area has its wonderful Jim "Hate America" McDermott...

there is a building in Seattle that houses more lawyers than ALL of Japan....or so I am told....these guys make living out of a rotating justice system....

I wonder what’s up with a justice system that’s lets people like Clemmons loose??? It’s evident he’s psychotic, but the system does nothing to prevent such a tragedy, it actually encouraged it.

IIRC, in a recent election in your state, the Republican was cheated out of a win for the governorship during a recount or the absentee count?

It’s usually tough for a GOP governor do make much headway with a democrat controlled legislature anyway, unless s/he has line item veto power.

I’m sick to death of lawyers holding political office and our judicial system is little more than a cruel joke on us. I do not know anyone who believes child rapists can be cured, yet they’re paroled to rape again. LIFE sentences upon the first conviction. If DNA later proves a mistake was made, fine, overturn the sentence. Otherwise, LIFE means LIFE.

The problem with the justice system begins with the fact that is has nothing to do with justice and everything to do with presentation of little bits of facts.
