New dangers for Dems in 2010 (Daily Kos poll finds HUGE enthusiasm gap favors Republicans!)
Chicago Tribune ^ | November 27, 2009 | Clarence Page

Are storm clouds brewing on the horizon for Democrats?
That’s the bad news for Dems from a source that usually prefers news that makes Republicans look bad.  When voters were asked if they will “definitely vote” or not in next year’s congressional elections, the latest weekly tracking poll commissioned by the decidedly liberal Daily Kos shows a growing enthusiasm gap in favor of Republicans.
It breaks down like this. The first number is certain or likely to vote; the second is unlikely or certain not to vote.

Republican Voters:  81 / 14
Independent Voters:  65 / 23
Democratic Voters:  56 / 40

That means 81 percent of self-described Republicans say they are certain or likely to vote,  compared to 65 percent of independent voters and only 56 percent of Democrats. (Full cross-tabs here.)

You don't actually believe this, do you? How many Republicans actually go to the Daily Kos and answer polls?

The poll wasn’t at Daily Kos, it was commissioned by Daily Kos. In other words, they paid a polling firm to do the poll and this was the results they got.

Democrats are ashamed. When they show up at the polls they can be identified by the bags over their heads.

You misunderstand. This wasn’t an online poll conducted at the Daily Kos web site. It was a standard sample poll they commissioned.

Thanks. I missed that part. The idea of the Kos doing a poll, and someone taking it seriously, made me lose my perspective.

Yeah, but they vote in busloads. We vote one at a time and are lucky if it gets counted.

They vote by trunk load, found only a few days later but let’s count em anyway!!!

They vote even after they’re dead ——— just ask Obama’s friend Mayor Daley in Chicago.

It’s the Chicago Way!

If you go to the bottom of the "full cross tabs" page, it says the following about the methodology:
A total of 2400 adults nationally were interviewed by telephone. A cross-section of calls was made into each state in the country in order to reflect the adult population nationally.

I think you have been confused by recent events. I always thought only ugly women had to wear a bag over their head. But then I just remembered, Helen Thomas, Hillary Clinton, Maxine Waters, and all the other liberal women. So I guess you are absolutely right. My Bad.

I would crawl over broken glass to vote against the democrats in 2010.

I guess you could call that enthusiasm.

Dems will never match the mass psychosis they rode to victory last year. Of course, they will import voters to make up the difference.
