In this sort of case the fact that others also bear heavy responsibility for the grotesque failures of the judicial-penal system to keep this POS off the streets does not in any way lessen Huckabee’s responsibility. Sure, it looks like there were a bunch of other opportunities to protect society from this scumbag that were missed, but had the Huckster not commuted the 60 yr. sentence in 2000 then Clemmons would not now be on the streets.
CNN is saying he initially had a 95 year sentence??
I wasn’t aware that it was a 60 year sentence that Huck let him out of. That does make Huck a guilty player, for sure. Along with some more that have let this guy through the cracks.
