“Felons” are defined as persons old enough and convicted of any “crime” punishable by confinement for 1 year or more in the state prison system. Not all felons are the same. Some are violent, some are non-violent and unfortunately these days some are plain crazy and the prison system serves as the mental health facility . Some felons make non-violent mistakes, possess pot, etc., when young and never reoffend. Today, such non-violent offenders must carry the stigma of “felon” the same as a child murdered/rapist or mass murderer. I ‘d say that this Arkansas/Washington individual was more in the classification of a “criminally insane” psychopath/sociopath/psychotic and should have been medicated and locked away for life in a mental institution (just like was previously the practice before PC took over). It is not logical to put all “felons” together in the same basket. You’d be surprised how many cops got pardons for felonies to get the jobs they have now.

Huckster looks like he’s gonzo for 2012....

Romney is tanking below 50% and has Romneycare to contend with...

This is getting better for Palin. No wonder the MSM is in full combat mode against her. The screeching is getting into a fever pitch.

How about accountability for the parole board that let him go...if true, this is insane!

Yes, accountability. Time for some patriotic community organizing.

Nine years ago, then-Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee granted clemency to Clemmons, commuting his lengthy prison sentence over the protestations of prosecutors.

It's rough when compassion trumps good sense. There's a reason these guys are behind bars... and 99.99% of them need to stay there.

I think you meant AR, and it isn't ancient enough and will scuttle the Huckster's 2012 plans as it rightly paints him as weak!

I have a buck that says Mr. Clemmons doesn't live to be 'questioned'. Any takers?

I'll take you up on that. There is too much fear nowadays that justice is completely upside down. Unless, of course, the guy opens up on those arresting him. In that case the bets off.

You’re on. This guy will never see the inside of a Police station. He’s going straight to the morgue.

Huckster will dance around any questions on this, just as he danced while making all his pardons. He'll decline to run, but repeatedly point out he'd said he wasn't running before this shooting.

Romney wants the job, but has the strongest negatives amongst the base (as well evidenced on FR.) That alone might not be enough to stop him — McCain held that title last time. But his identification with Romneycare, in the current political environment is the albatross he can't overcome. He might try to blame the way his successors implemented it, but the kindest thing that can be said was that he failed to invent a liberal proof plan in a state swarming with liberals.

Santorum's albatross is Spector, Newt's latest is DeDe, amongst others. I'm not sure whether Franken will become Pawlenty's or not, but it's hard to imagine him staying on good behavior...

If Palin plays her cards right neither the good old boys at the RNC, nor the media, nor Soros et al will be able to give her much of a fight for the nomination. Instead expect the left to empty Mordor against her in the general election and hope that independents will recoil in disgust.
