This site Northwest Gangs identifies Xavier Magana, the killer of Alrick "Alphabet" Hendricks, as a member of the "Lakeside Hustler Crips".

Hendricks is said in most of the articles not to have been in a gang. But they always say that when they are killed. They were good kids, trying to get out of the gang life, had managed to accrue six credits in community college over the last five terms, etc.

Hmmm. That sounds like the town where the assassination took place had at least one very active gang 'set'.

That is some list. You can see why the TV show COPS films allot of their programs in Peirce County.
