Good on defense, lousy on fiscal and social responsibilities. Thanks, but no thanks.

Unfortunately, his age and medical problems make him unelectable.

Three years out, the GOP field does not offer a putative nominee.

The pundits keep saying this like it actually means something. Who was the dems' "putative nominee" in 2001? In 2005? (Well, Hitlery, probably.) Or who was the GOP's "putative nominee" in 2005? Only the Obozo is already actively campaigning for 2012, and doing a bad job of it.

But who knows what condition the country will be in come 2012 and what kind of a president the American people will be looking for?

Somebody who is actually running for starters.

It won't be Dick Cheney.

It would be interesting to see him run in the Primarys though. During the debates, he could bring up some good points and show the politicians what this country is looking for. He could also bring out the duds in the Primarys.

It should have been Cheney/Bush. I fear now it’s too late for Dick.

Sadly, when Cheney speaks he appears short of breath. Personally, I’d elect a man in poor health if his policies are correct and he has a good VP. But I don’t think the country will do it.

Cheney has been a great public servant.

A Cheney victory would mean that America preferred a vigorous unilateralism to President Obama's unapologetic multilateralism , and vice versa.

LOL. Most Americans don't even know what those words mean. These writers are in lala land making this stuff up. Whoever wins will not win by virtue of idealogy but rather perceptions and dinner table issues.

The other nice thing about having Cheney run for President is that drives Obama nuts.

Everytime Cheney criticizes Obama, Obama invariably responds personally to Cheney's critiques.

I would beg that we do not vote for Anti-Obama candidates. We have seen what the Anti-Bush candidate does for America.

I want to vote for a PRO-American Candidate. One who does not make apologies for our policy or past. We are the greatest nation ever formed and we need to behave in a way that fits that responsibility.

Cheney/Palin - b/c if Dick lives for over 2 years in office, SP can finish out that term and then run for 2 addtional terms on her own.

Dick Cheny has more leadership talent in his little finger than Obama will ever have in his inflated head. Unfortunately Dick's time has come and gone. Thanks Mr. Vice President for your service.

I like that.

Dick, no. His time is over, and he could never attract enough centrists to win, so it would only guarantee a 2nd term for Obama. And Dick would be the first to agree.

Yes, Dick Cheney should run. I don’t know whom should win the nomination, but I hope that many well-known Republicans will run, including Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Bobby Jindal, Haley Barbour, Bob Riley, and Ron Paul.
