While hand-wringing continues in the White House and among Secret Service officials over an alleged gate-crashing of a state dinner, it appears Michaele and Tareq Salahi had met with Barack Obama previously when he served as a U.S. senator.
Yet, a June 2005 photo from Polo Contacts Worldwide shows the Salahis with Obama at a pre-event to America's Polo Cup. Others in the photo include American Idol's Randy Jackson and members of the rock group Black Eyed Peas.
Salahi is a former board member of the American Task Force on Palestine.

The gate crashing Salahis? I'm guessing he is 100% Christian Arab. His father got here in the 1940s. Muslims rarely immigrated back then
wow, I haven’t paid much attention to this story b/c I was assuming it was simply a couple of wannabe publicity whores who somehow got in, but that never did seem plausible considering how tightly layered the security must be for any such State Dinner...... especially with the PM of INDIA which is also one of the most terrorist-afflicted countries in the world......
Your explanation makes far more sense..... someone had to get them in there..... but does the Secret Service know the full story and are they being leaned on by the Obamanators to keep it under wraps? No wonder Rep. King is calling for a full Congressional investigation......
Can anyone pay attention to the destruction of our country with all of this going on? That’s what I thought. Very doubtful that this would have been staged to get rid of one disliked Secret Service guy. But staged, yes.
One benefit of being in the SS, especially the Presidential Detail, is that when you retire from SS you can generally get a good job providing security for some wealthy person or big corporation, due to the reputation of the SS for being the best of the best as far as personal security is concerned. Having that reputation tarnished would be bad for Secret Service agents.
OTOH, if they spill the beans on what really happened, then that is also bad for the SS having a rep for keeping their mouths shut about what the people they guard do.
It's a lose/lose situation.
It's not something a wise person does to the people who are expected to take a bullet for the person they protect.
According to Wikipedia, Khalidi's mother was a Christian of Lebanese origin. But his father, named Ismail, was a Saudi citizen who was born in Jerusalem. Seems to me that would make him a Muslim by birth, since Islamic identity is considered to be partrilineal. Khalidi was the vice president of ATFP at the time of the 9/11 terror attacks, when the ATFP blamed them on US policy toward Israel.
BTW, the ATFP also supports the "right of return" of Palis to Israel, which, if implemented, would spell the end of Israel as a Jewish state. So much for their concept of a "two-state solution."

That's true, but Ismail Khalidi, Saudi citizen, was undoubtedly Muslim. I don't think that Saudis ever granted citizenship to Christians; if so, they couldn't practice their religion in Saudi Arabia anyhow.
Also, almost all the Christian Arabs immigrating to the US in the early twentieth century were from what is now Lebanon and Syria, usually not from Palestine and certainly not Saudi citizens.

I’ve met many Christian Arabs and like them but some get some Islamic brainwashing and ally themselves with the Muslims. It happens in the Middle East and it can happen here
