While hand-wringing continues in the White House and among Secret Service officials over an alleged gate-crashing of a state dinner, it appears Michaele and Tareq Salahi had met with Barack Obama previously when he served as a U.S. senator.
Yet, a June 2005 photo from Polo Contacts Worldwide shows the Salahis with Obama at a pre-event to America's Polo Cup. Others in the photo include American Idol's Randy Jackson and members of the rock group Black Eyed Peas.
Salahi is a former board member of the American Task Force on Palestine.

It would be better to tie the couple to Hasan Malik with the tie to the Pale organistation.
That woman is Forrest Gump in disguise. Checkout her Facebook page. She is everywhere and with everyone.
And we know what happens to some Caesars that fell out of favor with Praetorian guards.
As with other freepers, I think the real story is:
(1) Salahis WAS invited.I also agree that Obama will use this like the Clintons used the "White House Travel Office" thing, to get the Presidential Detail replaced by assured Obama loyalists.(2) His name was not put on the "official" guest list to avoid controversy, but instead was taken through the checkpoints by verbal order.
(3) His picture at the event got out, and some idiot in the WH tried to cover up by saying he was a gate-crasher
(4) ... not realizing what a BIGGER uproar would ensue over the security implications.
Thanks PB!
AKA Nation of Islam body guards.
It’s a giant scam.
Probably friends with Malik Hasan
I just heard Dana Perino tell Chris Wallace that this embarrasses the president and therefore the American people. It immediately occurred to me that the president himself is an embarrassment to the American people that really can’t get any worse.
That's the sad part, i.e. the part where someone who has devoted their life to protecting their government. The United States Secret Service, will eventually be made to look like a fool, when the buck stops, not with them, but..., well, we all know where the buck should stop, but nowadays, that distinction is not very clear, is it?
Working for the USSS, is sadly, a very thankless job.
This is more definitive proof than a reference to Google Cache. I only randomly picked dates from the archive. I don't know when this article first appeared or how long it remained on their site. I'm sure there are more if people continued a methodical search.
From the August 13, 2005 copy of the American Task Force on Palestine website, there is this article, ATFP Board Member, Palestinian-American, Captains US Polo Team in Match Against Princes Charles and Harry.

How many millions has he raised/contributed to Democrats?
She is everywhere and with everyone.
Any pictures of her with the "Backpack Guy" of WTC 9-11 fame?
I agree with you. The story is starting to stink more than Michelle’s toxic garden.
Actually, formerly on the board of directors, but we don't know the reason for his leaving. (Could the ATFP have been too "moderate" for him?)
The ATFP is obviously a group composed of people of Arab ancestry. I'm not sure if they are all of "Palestinian" lineage, but the group has associations with Islamic organizations. So it figures that Obama has had past connections with them; so did Obama's old Chicago pal Rashid Khalidi.
From a glance at their web site, it would appear that their approach to the Middle East is a "two-state solution," with Israel and "Palestine" living side by side under "peace and security," with Jerusalem divided. Seems like a bunch of BS that isn't in the cards from a practical point of view (that is, if they can be taken seriously). Yet it appears as if their misguided and dangerous ideas play well with many Washington pols, predominantly Democrats, who would think of them as a "moderate" Arab group.
